This hotel's conference center is just a couple of rooms up a back staircase from the front desk and Perkins restaurant. An elevator goes directly from the Perkins kitchen and loading dock. So the conference room is used regularly in rotation with most of Winchester's civic organizations. That being, the group renting it can bring its own beverages and snacks. The rooms were quite nice. We had a king bed. The bathroom was small but had shower and tub, with sink outside. There were a refrigerator and microwave, which came in handy. We were around back on the first floor, where we could park right outside our room and enjoy privacy and quiet.

“Last minute stop over”

Traveling back home to NEPA we ran into a snow storm.We decided to bed down for the night instead of driving in the snow.We called the hotel and low and behold they had rooms available,They gave us a great rate compared to the higher priced hotels in the area.Our room.king bed,micro,fridge etc, w... Traveling back home to NEPA we ran into a snow storm.We decided to bed down for the night instead of driving in the snow.We called the hotel and low and behold they had rooms available,They gave us a great rate compared to the higher priced hotels in the area.Our room.king bed,micro,fridge etc, was clean,comfortable and perfect for what we needed.The only drawback was they did not offer a free continental breakfast.The reason being, it is attached to a Perkins.I'm not a fan of Perkins but there are plenty of other restaurants.close by for breakfast.

We stayed when this was the Best Western but has since changed to Clarion. We were up front but the traffic noise was very loud. We had problems checking in due to computer problems. We stayed when this was the Best Western but has since changed to Clarion. We were up front but the traffic noise was very loud. We had problems checking in due to computer problems. It was corrected by morning when we were checking out. We mentioned at the front desk the door has a large opening in it and the cold air was coming through. We blocked it with the chair and my coat to prevent anymore cold air coming in. We were tired and it was late to ask for another room. The towels were good, water pressure good, beds nice, TV good, They have a Perkins there and you get a discount. Food always good there. We would stay again but not directly in the front or the very back (somewhere in the middle).

I gather the place used to be a major convention center in the Winchester area. As the photograph suggests, its enormous; you definitely need to drive from the check-in desk to wherever they've put you. The room was clean and adequate, but the endless parking lots make the place rather bleak. I stayed here because of the location, right next door to where I was going, and would do so again for the same reason -- but no other.
