We stayed at this property for the first time on the night of 12/22/2024. This is my first time at this hotel, and 2nd time at a Spark property. I'm aware what Spark stands for as a brand, and I had a really bad experience at another property in Georgia. I wanted to give it another try. I booked this one in Lancaster, PA and it was pretty darn great. I do believe it opened earlier this year. Parking is plentiful and free in front of the hotel. It is between a current vacant lot and a Wawa store, close to all the attractions in the Lancaster county area. The lobby is bright and a welcoming place. It is a 3 story hotel style property, which was remodeled very nicely. We had Room 321. Room 321 was in great condition. You can tell all the furnishings were new, the carpet was replaced, everyting was painted, etc. The heat and air worked well, and the shower pressure was great with plentiful hot water. The bed was comfortable, and we had a good nights sleep. The only thing that was weird was we noticed that there was no chair at the desk. There is a nice large desk, and I actually spent about two hours working, so it would have been nice to have a chair. I found that just weird. However, that was the only issue. I would return here again in the future, depending on who I was visiting and the circumstance. Thank you Spark! Please keep this a great property!

We’ve started noticing Spark locations pop up at highway exits during road trips, though we’ve read mixed-to-unfavorable feedback about most locations and been wary to try one. During a very busy fall weekend, we struggled to find a respectable hotel in Lancaster that was below $200-something a night, and all Hilton properties (besides the Spark) were above 40K points. Given the generally good reviews so far, we decided to take a chance and finally try a Spark - we thought, if nothing else, it would be renovated more recently than the many older Hilton properties in the area. At first impression, the lobby was bright and clean though the seating areas by the front desk and breakfast were pretty basic. While minor scuffs or dents here and there are reminders the Spark isn’t a new build, it’s evident throughout the property that Hilton sunk a lot of money into renovating and all furniture and fixtures are brand new. The breakfast was simple, though honestly more than I expected based on feedback about the brand; the selection included a variety of bagels, cereal cups, muffins, and yogurt. Similar to the lobby, the room was basic though clean; the room lacked a coffee maker, microwave, and even cups (Trus lack coffee makers as well but they still include cups), though it had ample closet space and plenty of outlets for charging. I was a bit surprised that the bedspreads and pillowcases were already showing some signs of fraying / pilling, given the hotel is only a couple months old (and the pillowcases say “Hilton,” so they aren’t Wingate leftovers). We were a bit baffled by the choice of dark navy paint for all the doors throughout the property and questioned the longevity of it, but for the time being the renovation looks nice. Sure, this property isn’t a full-service Hilton - but it also doesn’t claim to be one, and Spark is pretty up front about their accommodations. I think if you go in with realistic expectations of what a Spark is, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by what it offers. If Hilton stays on top of maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the property, and the price remains low, we think it could be a nice option to have in the Lancaster area.

Adequate bfast items for free ..new modern furnishings sleek...good pkg out frt. Close to restaurants..outlets..visitor ctr. Walmart $ general and Amish road to sites. Would stay again..1st we had heard of Spark..very pleased.

This hotel just opened a couple of months ago in Lancaster. We like the Hilton brand so we decided to stay. It was a decent hotel. The lobby and the breakfast area were well kept and modern in decor. The decor was fresh and new. The front desk agents were friendly and helpful. Our hotel room was decent. A few dings here and there on some of the furniture and the door of the bathroom scraped on the floor and the tub had chipped white paint in spots but other than that everything else was good. The room carries a mini fridge. No microwave. Plenty of towels, washcloths and hand towels. The breakfast offered is bagels, cream cheese, yogurt, and cereal in prepackaged cups with milk. And there’s orange juice and water and lemonade, and apples and bananas. Thats about it. It was sparse, but that is probably the culture for The Spark model, so we understand. The digital key system worked well and the check-in and check out you can do from the app and not have to bother with the front desk for anything. Unless you need extra towels or toilet paper. Everything else was good. We also selected the room we wanted in the app which we got so that was perfect. The parking lot was great. We found a spot every day. Outside the parking lot there’s a piece of property all fenced in and rundown and under construction. We don’t know what was going on there but you had to drive through that area to get to the hotel if you were coming from a certain direction. We would actually stay at this hotel again when in the area.
