The place is amazing and the service is even better. Ary, our curator went above and beyond. Even on her day off she was still in touch with us sorting things out. Thankyou Ary. If we ever come back then we will insist on you looking after us. The food in the restaurant or in our room was of the highest quality. My wife doesn't eat steak and she was a converted carnivore by the end. The home made ice cream was something else. Made on site. We had it for breakfast! Thankyou to Eva for taking the time to explain how the ice cream was made from the local plants and also to Kristin for looking after us. Everything from the moment you arrive to when you leave, is arranged to make you feel special in this place. Just a couple of points. The first villa was not completely private. People could see us from the roadside so we couldn't use the facilities the first day. Ary sorted out another villa for us and a 3 course dinner. Secondly, at breakfast, I ordered the breakfast with no pork bacon. The lady brought my plate with bacon. I said that there had been a mistake and to remake my plate. Instead she just removed the bacon and brought the same plate back. Luckily I noticed. At checkout the manager Agus came over and apologised for the breakfast incident and that he'd arranged training for all the restaurant team. Things don't always go to plan but at least at Umana you know that someone will make things better. Thanks to all at Umana, especially Ary. God willing we will be back one day !

“Excellent vacation with a very large pool villa and friendly customer service”

A very good resort with private jacuzzi and pool. The villas as well as the jacuzzi and pool are very big with good staff and customer service overall. A very good resort with private jacuzzi and pool. The villas as well as the jacuzzi and pool are very big with good staff and customer service overall. Obviously there are rooms for improvement like having too many mosquitoes (i went during the rain season) and having less stain marks. I can partly understand the difficulties with maintaining such a large square footage over all though. Overall, I'm still very satisfied and would not mind returning.

“Great experience”

It was a great experience in Bail. We visited Umana during Christmas week. All of the employees were very kind and friendly. The newest facilities and wonderful view were satisfying. We will visit again as soon as possible when we need a break time from our lives.
